David's Native Habitat

As ecologists tell us, most species cannot survive without their own habitats, their own places for which they have evolved towards for centuries.

David's native habitat is his office at Freelink Communications, where he works tirelessly on various web-related projects.

I hope you'll enjoy this glimpse of an extravagently nerdy environment.

David's pride and joy is his Silicon Graphics O2 workstation. Actually, it's not his; it's owned by Freelink Communications, who he works for as technical head. Most of his web sites are served off this machine, and he also uses it for web browsing and programming.
This is the main control centre of the Apple Macintosh G3 he uses for video capture, editing and image processing. David uses Radius EditDV, Adobe Photoshop, Fractal Design Painter and other programs to create his images.
When on the road, David uses his IBM ThinkPad 365XD computer. One day, in one of his typical fits of pique against Microsoft, he removed Windows from the machine and replaced it with Linux. Here, you can see David's favourite web browser running on the ThinkPad under Linux.

This is the Cisco 2511 router which connects the O2 and, for that matter, all other Freelink computers, to the Internet through ISI Network Associates, our provider.
