Every year, the world's automakers descend on the Los Angeles Convention
Centre to show us what they've been up to over the last year. This is
the Greater Los Angeles Auto Show,
held this year January 2 - 10, 1999.

Check out the fabulous new Mercedes S-Class, and a quick revisit to the
world of Daimler-Benz. Also, read why I'm a little upset with my favourite

Mercedes-Benz for 1999. Tragically, the new S-Class wasn't here (it's

As usual, the Nissan booth had yawn-inducing cars but cool exhibits. Stop

Mazda didn't have anything interesting to show off this year - their booth
seemed to consist entirely of bland, identikit sedans. But this use of a flight simulator is pretty cool. Take a look.
