Easter Sunday, 1999
Right near the office building in which I work and slave, there is a dying building. It is, slowly but surely, being demolished. What it was or why it's going we know not; I suspect a new shopping centre in the offing. This, frankly, will be good news, for there are far too few half-decent restaurants in the area.
But it's still sad to see a building go down, even one as ugly and undistinguished as this one. It seemed to me that it deserved a picture or two, to immortalize it on the web.
I would have to guess it's an old General Telephone building, from the collapsed light pole you see on the second row.
Drop me a line if you have any comments, or if you know what this building was and why it's being demolished. I happen to know it annoys the heck out of our security force.
