All I wanted to do was videotape the governor ... and all the governor wanted to do was prevent me from doing it.

One undeniable difference between the candidates in this year's race for Governor is their personal styles. Gray Davis, the incumbent, has about as much character as his name. Bill Simon, on the other hand, is a warm and friendly person.

Amidd the blizzards of attack ads, this latter characteristic has been ignored, and I felt this was a big shame. So I decided to take some of my old protest and campaign event footage I had lying around to make the point: Not only is Davis an incompetent fool, he's also a cold, remote and unappealing person. Simon, on the other hand, is a classic nice guy. He may have not run a perfect campaign, but he'd make a great governor for all California, instead of Gray's notorious "Pay to Play" policies.
