I was in Scotland when 2001 came out. The Sea Slut In Charge of Pubs did forbid the watching of 2001. I watched it shortly thereafter and liked it so much I watched it twice that day.

Later that year Yellow Submarine came out and was frowned upon by the Sea Slut (did it have something to do with Nowhere Man? <g>), I liked that one too.

Now I don't know if these represent "official" policy, but if you're a cultie and the Sea Org speaks that *is* policy. Especially when failure to do as told could result in being locked up and fed bread and water.
