Well, after spending 6 years on Sea Org rations, I used to look forward to spending an entire weeks pay on a steak, once in a while, however, I did not know that due to eating so little and such crappy food, my body had lost its ability to digest a big dose of meat, and I became horribly ill. And was hospitalized for a few days. I used to get billings from that hospital for the stay. To my knowldge the Cof$ didnt pay. They let the 'taxpayers pay'. It was my understanding that at an occassional $10 per week, hospitalization was my 'employers' responsibility.

In order to 'save money' as soon as I was able, I got out of bed, trailing IV cables on a rolling stand, and demanded to be released, over hospital recammendations.

Years later I found that I produced little stomach acid, and so couldnt eat a big red meat meal without taking pepsin & HCL....perhaps this was due to many years of 'Sea Org Fare'.
