but here are my reasons for believing it:


[i would appreciate more detail on this, and if anyone
has any articles concerning the minor scandal about 
anon.penet.fi concerning child pornography i'd appreciate
it if they'd be posted, if my recollection is incorrect.]


1)  no more than a month before the anon.penet.fi raid by interpol,
    there was a rash of finnish newspaper articles alleging 
    anon.penet.fi was used to post child pornography and 
    strongly implied remailers were a Menace to Society [TM].


2)  shortly thereafter, it was discovered that the rash of 
    stories had emerged concerning only two posts, and both of
    those posts turned out to have been forgeries apparently
    originating in england.  a few papers posted retractions.


3)  shortly thereafter, co$ wanted interpol to raid anon.penet.fi,
    concerning posts by -AB- who has since disappeared and of
    whom it is suspected that he or she was co$.


so i'm forced to ask a big cui bono here.  who would benefit
from this?  do bogus kiddie porn charges seem unlikely?  isn't
that exactly the sort of thing that michael meisner did for
co$ in the uk?  didn't ingram once have a stash of kiddie porn
specifically for planting on people?
