AIDS Miracle!

Someone asked for the AIDS cure post on AOL. Here it is, with some of the follow-ups. I particularly like the way Jim Kale keeps a weather eye on the FDA.

Dearest Friends,

Thought I would post this "win" which some might call a miracle.

Six weeks ago I was asked to consult with a young man who had previously done some Scientology services but wasn't currently active. This young man who we'll call "Bob", was "gay", HIV positive, and he knew that something was really wrong with his life. His sexual orientation wasn't a problem to him and his medical condition was of surprisingly little concern to him. In the course of our two hour meeting, I helped him to locate exacty what from his viewpoint was truly "ruining his life". As it turned out, Bob was stuck in a real problem. On the one hand, he was trying to live his life, achieve his goals, be successful as a college student etc. On the other hand he was very dedicated to the goal of STOPPING HIMSELF AT ALL COSTS! He had no clue as to the whys and wherefores of his condition. I did.

I enlightened him on an "auditing rundown" known as the "False Purpose Rundown" which LRH specifically develoloped to handle this variety of "ruin". The False Purpose Rundown, or FPRD as it is more commonly known, is an extremely powerful and effective procedure. Although it can be delivered to those with relatively little previous auditing, it is in fact a byproduct of LRH's "upper level" research. As I went over this material with him, Bob really came alive as he gained a rudimentary understanding of his situation. Subsequently he signed up for an auditing program which consisted of necessary "set-ups" followed by FPRD.

Today I Iearned that after about 25 hours of auditing he is no longer HIV positive. His doctor concluded that as unbelievable as it may sound, all his previous tests must have somehow been in error because such things just don't happen. His "T cell" count (a measure of immune system function) which had been in the 30s (extremely low) is now also normal.

In relating this "win" to several people who are well trained in the technologies of Dianetics and Scientology I noticed that their responses were of the "That's great!" variety. In relating it to those not technically trained, the responses were of the "Oh my God, a MIRACLE!" variety. The point is simply that when confronted with an advanced technology, those with little reality on that technology view its products as miracles or perhaps as fraudulent)uds, while those intimately familiar with the superior technology and with its theoretical and philosophic underpinnings view those products as normal and expected. It doesn't take too much looking to realize that we live in a techno-barbarian society. While the "hard sciences" are sufficiently advanced to land men on the moon, the generally accepted "social sciences" can't cure even the mildest of mental or spiritual maladies, much less keep our schools and streets free of drugs and violence.

Lest someone read the above and interpret it as a claim that "Scientology cures aids" , I'd like to point out that Bob received his auditing program specifically to handle a spiritual ruin. The technologies of Scientology and Dianetics are not intended or promoted as cures for physical ailments. In fact those seeking to handle medical problems are referred to an MD. There are however "assists" and "assist auditing" programs which address spiritual factors and by so doing assist the body's natural healing processes.

These are often done in conjunction with standard medical handlings.

In a culture that believes itself to have evolved from mud, it is a somewhat startling and new idea that by addressing man as a spiritual being, dramatic change for the better can be brought about in the physical aspects of life. "Thought is boss".

Love,

Jim

Jim that is such a cool story! Thanks for posting it for all of us to enjoy! Love, Patricia

Nice win, Jim. As Scientologists we certainly do get our share of "miracles". This story really points out the truth in the LRH datums that "function monitors structure" and that "postulates and considerations are senior". Perhaps what I've come to appreciate most over the years is that Scientology training and processing have put me in control of my own postulates and thus put me in control of my life.

Great post! There is a small section of the medical community that sees HIV as a symptom of a depressed immune system, rather than as a real cause of anything. Since i occasionally work with Environmentally Ill people (as a private environmental consultant) this view makes some sense. It also is a fact that a person who is spiritually healthy will tend to have a well-functioning immune system. So of course auditing will help, although it is not intended to address the physical situation. BTW, i like the idea of improving environments as an adjunct to anything else one is doing to advance, as a good environment can help keep gains in place. Just handling the environment without addressing the spirit is, of course, silly, but doing both is a powerful combination!

As LRH stated in the creed of the Church, the spirit may save of heal the body. Once this spirit was handled, he must have decided to handle his body. That is good news.

Subj More on "Miracle?" Date: 95-06-30 15:53:48 EDT From: Jim Kale

Hello Friends,

A few days ago I posted a "win" involving a young man who had been diagnosed as HIV positive who after some auditing came up HIV negative. I understand that someone cross-posted that piece to an Alt Newsgroup claiming it to be a promotional pitch to get AIDS patients to buy auditing.

Let me state unequivocally that individuals with AIDS or any serious illnesses should not consider any Scientology service as a possible solution to their medical situation. This is my opinion and it is in complete alignment with the official policies of The Church of Scientology. It's not only that one shouldn't, but one can't. The idea that my intention was to promote Scientology as as AIDS cure is patently obsurd. Why would I promote something that Orgs can't and won't deliver?

In the case of my friend Bob, note that he did not have AIDS. There is a big difference between having AIDS and being HIV positive. Bob was already a Scientologist and was received auditing for its intended purpose. (spiritual betterment) He was not seeking or expecting any kind of physical cure for his medical condition. In fact the possibility that it could conceivably happen never even came up.

I've received a few pieces of E-mail calling me all manner of nasty names and demanding that I retract my "fabricated <explitives deleted>". The fact is it did happen and I was there. When there is a conflict between reality and the fixed ideas of others I'll go with reality every time.

The intention of my post was to share a heart warming win with my fellow Scientologists on AOL and nothing more. I'd appreciate it if whoever cross-posted the earlier piece would also cross-post this post to the same newsgroups.

Love,

Jim

T'is cool, Jim. Us regular folk here had no problem duplicating the intention of your "Miracle?" post. I find the idea that someone would think you were promoting to Aids victims hilarious. Someone looking for an Aids cure couldn't pay a Scientology organization money if they wanted to. No one would take it!

At any rate don't let the riffraff cause you to stop posting here. Liked the "nice stuff" re: criminon too.

Jim, A bit off-topic perhaps but as the subject of HIV has come up on this group, I thought you might be interested to know that there have been several articles in the press recently which indicate that reversal from HIV positive to HIV negative has been documented in infants who were born with the disease.

Just a piece of recent news, no intention to invalidate the wonderful win you posted.

As to possibilities, It wouldn't surprise me at all if in the not to distant future, Scientology "assists" were prescribed by MDs. I know an Emergency Room Doc who routinely "hats" people up on "assists".

Jim,

I loved reading that post. That is just great - but typical of LRH tech. Russell

I'm sure all of us have experienced how weak our immunity system can get when we've gotten mentally weak from supression, unwanted thoughts, etc. It would make sense that the worst immunity disease around could be related to this. I know of people with the HIV virus who have never been sick. This may be the key to why that is. Ron

I can imagine some negative person just HATING to see Scientology helping even more people. It's up to us to get the word out there to people, and that's what you are doing with your posts, Jim. Thanks! Ron ==========================================================

Cerberus again.

'Course all the negative posts were deleted by RonArtistR's personal cancelpoodle.

Love the way they chat each other up. Kind of like "Regis & Kathy Lee go through the wallets of intensive-care patients."

Gotta admire the willingness of the FSM's to go after anybody's buck.
