ATTN: DON'T RESPOND TO HELENA KOBRIN'S E-MAIL LEGAL THREATS

Recently Helena Kobrin has been sending E-mails to various posters within alt.religion.scientology that appear to threaten legal action for posts of theirs that included portions of Scientology *scriptures* that were well within the bounds of fair use.

I consider it to be highly unprofessional for Ms. Kobrin to be making legal threats through the unreliable and ephemeral medium of E-mail.

I am not a lawyer (nor do I play one on T.V.) but I think it would be a good idea for people to simply ignore any E-mails that carry legal threats from Helena Kobrin. Force her to go through the more traditional channels if she wishes to harrass people.

Perhaps it would be a good idea for a.r.s posters to inform Ms. Kobrin that E-mail legal threats are not acceptable.

The following is an E-mail that I sent to Ms. Kobrin today to inform her of this.

It has come to my attention that you have been
sending E-mails to alt.religion.scientology posters
that threaten legal action because the posters included 
portions of Scientology materials within their posts.

Please be informed that in the event that I
include portions of Scientology materials within
my posts within the bounds of fair use that I will not
accept nor acknowledge any legal threats that
are made to me through E-mail.  

If you should ever need to communicate with me 
regarding legal matters you may do so through my 
family lawyer.

I will be informing my system administrator that
he should consider the same policy.
