I visited the LA org last weekend to pick up my Internet issue of Freedom magazine.

Everything looked terrifyingly worn out. The huge main building looks in imminent danger of collapse. Renovations were being done on some of the buildings; they even have a special org for this purpose. Looks to me like they use volenteers who know nothing whatsoever about construction, and the constant renovations involve continuous papering over of cheap repair jobs with more cheap repair jobs.

I asked one of the staff members if she knew Woody; the response was a blank look and "Who's Woody?"

[For a more detailed account of my visit, see David in the Lion's Den under my Scientology home page, http://amazing.cinenet.net/scientology.html. I really should figure out how to post that thing ... it's pretty funny].
