Rather than postulating, I'd suggest here that he was pontificating, Tony. There *is* a difference, in case you don't know.

As for Ron *doing something*, all he was doing was ranting to a group of his demented disciples. Yeah, Tony, that's all Hubbard was ever good at. He talked and talked and talked, but as far as I can see (and I've seen plenty) nothing has ever come of any of Ron's raving except putting more money into Ronnie's Swiss bank accounts.

You see, Tony, Hubbard knew that his following was made up of insecure, inferior people, who just *loved* to be told that they were right and everyone else in the world was wrong. These are the people who are still attracted to your "Church" <spit>. As long as Hubbard (and the people who seized control of the organization as Hubbard lay dying) can keep convincing dorky little weenies that they're actually superheroes in disguise who are working to save the planet, the "Church" will keep raking in the dough. It's as simple as that.

Dorky little weenies just *love* to hear that someday *they* will rule the world. Wouldn't that be great? Then you'd get to kick sand in the bully's face for a change, right? Except Hubbard goes a step beyond that. Why stop at sand-kicking? Why not round up all those SPs and isolate them so they can't cause all that entheta? That's why people who freak in orgs get locked in closets, after all. I understand the basement of the Cedars building is a veritable underground insane asylum. It would just be natural to extend this practice worldwide once the planet is cleared and Scientology[tm] rules, wouldn't it?

Well, you can be sure it wasn't the bloviated Elron Blubbard that did anything to reduce tensions in the world. So don't waste your thanks on the "Church" <spit>. While you're at it, why don't you round up a squadron of Sea Org members to go spread a little theta over in Bosnia? I'm sure they'd really appreciate touch assists and some free introductory lectures over there.
