Donahue...thoughts

Hey! A long weekend! :)

Just finished watching the Donahue show. (taped) It's too bad he couldn't allow critics on, but he sure came out with some good lines for someone who admitted he didn't know anything about the cult. Donahue really took them down a peg over issues like Prozac, psychiatrists, huge profits, business dealings, attacking ex-Scientologists, etc. I thought he did a remarkable job! Looks like he did his homework, all right.

And how about that audience, eh? The one woman who stood up and said she was a Scientologist admitted this was "brave!" Looks like the cult is on the run, given their wholly defensive posture on the show. One good thing about the show is that it links Dianetics with the infamous cult of Scientology; the two have become one in the minds of millions, and a thousand hours of infomercial bullshit won't undo the damage.

When old Heber called Time into question, he merely seemed to drag himself throught the mud. Hitler man of the year. Some big win, eh clambots? ;) What's somewhat suprising is that Donahue never mentioned Heber's time in prison (in Spain.) I thought that should have been dropped in right after Jentzsch metioned that all critics were criminals, and right before he stated that he could count the critics of Scientology on his fingers. <I wasn't aware that Heber was a mutant; he certainly hides it quite well, even in person.;)>

Anyway, I think the show got the message out quite well. I don't imagine that the viewers of this show will be in a rush to buy the $69.95 cult-aid package, as seen on TV! ;)

ttyl,
