I've had enough e-mail contact with both Shari and Stanton at EFF to state with confidence that EFF is *not* distancing itself from this case.

The administrative burden of handling this fund was starting to take a significant toll on EFF staff, and it makes more sense for MoFo to collect the money since MoFo is the ultimate recipient anyway.
