The Official Monster Raving Loony Party (get the title right, there are some unofficial variants around) has actually had some candidates elected at local government level. But some then got disqualified for not bothering to turn up at council meetings. Screaming Lord Sutch is now threatened with bankruptcy - because of the collapse of the UK housing market, not legal action - and so would be disqualified from being an MP. The OMRLP has fulfilled at least one useful role in British politics, when at another by-election they polled more than David Owen's Social Democratic Party, thus forcing the SDP to admit they were finished. The Co$ will not be clever enough to learn the same lesson, unfortunately. And to think that once they influenced some British MPs. Scientology is shrinking all over the UK.
