Actually, Marcus thinks we would be better off dead. Then we could get implanted again between lives and come back without memory, so we would be obedient little clams. I'm sure he'd help us along, if he could get away with it.

He believes he'd be doing us a favor by exterminating us. After all, it's a "just cause" for the Greater Good.
