>>information in this regard? Morrison and Foerester are defending Dennis Erlich against the "Church" of $cientology, an organization founded by L. Ron Hubbard.

The following is from 'A Piece of Blue Sky', by Jon Atack, although the details can be found in other accounts such as Bent Corydon's 'Messiah or Madman' or Russell Miller's 'Bare Faced Messiah'.

------Begin quote-----------

He became embroiled, for instance, in a nasty divorce and child custody battle that raised embarrassing questions about his mental stability. His wife, Sara Northrup Hubbard, accused him of subjecting her to "scientific torture experiments" and of suffering from "paranoid schizophrenia" - allegations that she would later retract in a signed statement but that would find their way into government files and continue to haunt Hubbard. She said in her suit that Hubbard had deprived her of sleep, beaten her and suggested that she kill herself, "as divorce would hurt his reputation." During the legal proceedings, Sara placed in the court record a letter she had received from Hubbard's first wife. "Ron is not normal," it said. "I had hoped you could straighten him out. Your charges probably sound fantastic to the average person - but I've been through it - the beatings, threats on my life, all the sadistic traits which you charge - 12 years of it." At one point in the marital dispute with Sara, Hubbard spirited their 1-year-old daughter, Alexis, to Cuba.

-----End quote-------

The "Church" of $cientology uses a Private Investigator, one 'Iceberg' Gene Ingham who resigned from LAPD over allegations that he was running a prostitution ring. Recently, Gene Ingham harrassed and robbed a 73 year old woman, the grandmother of a.r.s poster, Grady Ward, who was recovering from recent cataract surgery. He used the false name of 'Jack Hoff' to gain access to her home, interrogate her about her family, and obtain a photograph by deception.

The "Church" of $cientology published the name, address and telephone number of another a.r.s poster, a woman called Tarla Star, despite the fact that she had gone to great pains to conceal her identity. This information could not be obtained by easily available methods.

The "Church" of $cientology attempted to drive another critic, Paulette Cooper, author of 'The Scandal of Scientology', insane -- via a campaign mounted by it's intelligence arm, the Guardian's Office, termed 'Operation Freak Out'. This campaign was almost successful. The truth was revealed when the FBI conducted a raid on Scientology premises. The "Church" was forced to compensate Ms. Cooper to the tune of several million dollars, for their savage harrassment, that included attempting to blacken her character with friends and neighbours, attempting to have her framed for bomb attempts against the Israeli Embassy, and trying to drive her insane. These tactics were part of Church policy and were designed by the founder, L. Ron Hubbard.

Hubbard was waited on hand and foot by mini-skirted 13 year old girls called the 'Commodore's Messengers'. These girls did everything from dressing him in the morning, to lighting his cigarettes.

Decide for yourself who the _real_ abusers of women and children are here. Decide for yourself who thinks so little of women's intelligence that they would lie to them in an attempt to gain support for their campaign to silence free speech on the internet.

The Church of $cientology is a criminal cult that abuses women and children. Support Dennis Erlich. Protect free speech. Send donations to Mo-Fo. Find out how and why on alt.religion.scientology
