We go in this imaginary facility to see a bunch of molluscs sitting in rocking
chairs. Yes, there's still a conflict on the muscles which control the shells,
but it's much slower now. They don't snap as often or as hard as they used to.
The sound is more of a "Thud! Thud! Thud!" rather than a "Snap! Snap! Snap!" of
a younger, more virile clam.


And, whatever you do, NEVER ever pick up an old clam. They get restimulated
easily that way. Makes them think of their days of being carried by birds or
little children.
