The post I made on Sunday 2nd July entitled "Let's Discuss Trade Secrets" has sparked off a whole bag of trouble. It was cancelled: two follow-ups were cancelled, two reposts were cancelled and two re-reposts[?] were cancelled. Somebody somewhere is repeatedly committing an international computer crime just to prevent people seeing the content of that message.

On Thursday night both myself and the computing service here at Bristol received e-mails from Helena Kobrin claiming that her client, the Religious Technology Center, was entitled by my post to "damages and an injunction". She demanded an immediate statement of compliance. Damon Chetson received a similar message threatening legal action simply for quoting that post in a follow-up

Her complaint was about my posting of *eight lines* of high-level Scientology scripture, part of a high-level course in which you are supposed to develop telepathic communication[!] with plants, animals and human beings.

If anybody is in a position to make news out of this bizarre affair, I would like to talk to them. -- MARTIN L: Postgrad. studying "Probability and Belief" at Bristol University POULTER : KNIGHT NATASEVOLLLEWYLLOJI WWW Home Page & Scientology Critics' OF Scientology is a dangerous cult stuff: http://mail.bris.ac.uk/~plmlp XENU -warn your family and friends.
