Re: RPF revisited

The Sea Org is for those that want to dedicate their life to the goals & purposes of the Church. It is similar to joining a monestary. It is the common purpose that binds the group together.

When one messes up on their job, there were certain gradients of justice one used in order to take responsibility. Note: One needs to study the whole subject of Scientology, which includes the tech (spiritial philosophy), its ethics and administrative guides (policies). The RPF was the most severe form used for those that wanted to make up damage they had done to the group (of Sea Org members).

You may not agree with the ethics and justice system in Scientology. I found it better than what is out in society today.

If one would compare the forms of justice the Church uses internally to similar religions, one would see how superior Scientology ethics & justice is.

But if you take one bit of it, and use it out of context, then it could seem illogical.

When you messed up on your job, how do you take responsibility for it? Or don't you take responsibility for errors and ommissions?

If a regular parishioner (not a staff member of Sea Org Member) messes up (does something that is not ethical), they apply similar ethics gradients, but not the RPF.

If you, on your own, read the Introduction to Scientology Ethics book, interviewed Church staff and parishioners about the use of these guides, you would discover all on your own what makes it better. Not an opinion of someone else's post.
