Proof! Scientology WORKS!

I have been reading this newsgroup for about a month. I came to it with little information about Scientology, but a lot of curiousity. I have had some contact with Scientologists and heard some stories.

Living near Hemet, I have been told by many people that they prefer to drive by the Golden Era Studios (Gilman Springs) with a full tank of gas as it scares them to think about running out near "those people".

I read Dianetics, Self Analysis, What is Scientology, Corydon's book, Cooper's book, and most of the affidavits, and testimonials that appeared here. I read most of the immature "dialog" with and about Woody, Vera, Vera's panties etc. I read Erlich and Barwell pontificating, Tarla and Janda screeching, and it goes on and on. I even had the privilege of a full frontal assault against me by Barwell when he erroneously deduced from one of my posts that I was a Scientologist (old habits die hard). At 3-400 messages a day, you can cover a lot of ground in a short time.

As further research, I contacted the local Dianetics Foundation and asked them to send me a copy of their personality test. I read every question, but didn't see the point of returning it for analysis. Who would fall for that crap? I also thought it was peculiar that there is no mention of the word "Scientology" on any of their literature or signage.

I am left with one inescapable conclusion:

Scientology WORKS!

How else can you explain the level of intelligence of many of the anti-COS heavyweights on this newsgroup? Most if not all of them made the conscious decision to joined COS. All the same books, tests, etc were available to them. Yet any idiot with half a brain should be able to see through this paranoid and very strange outfit. The first chapter of Dianetics would cause any intelligent person to toss the book aside as drivel.

So the anti-COS element in this newsgroup went into COS several bricks short of a load, and after umpteen YEARS (!!) and thousands of DOLLARS (!!) of this, finally developed enough intelligence to see the problems and got out. Considering their almost total isolation from the rational world based on most of the accounts, the only factor that can explain the increase in intelligence is Scientology!

The pro-element on COS also supports the argument to some extent. Most of the responses from them seem to be, "Yeah, so's your old lady!" These people clearly came from the shallow end of the gene pool. I guess we can assume that Woody et al are members who have not yet benefitted with increased intelligence, but certainly met the qualifications to get in--empty head, full wallet.

The pro-COS bunch is pathetic in that they don't seem to have anything worthwhile to say and don't realize it. The anti-COS bunch, while obviously more intelligent, are still rather pathetic in that they have not found anything constructive to fill the void remaining when they left the corporation.

It has been interesting, but I need something more substantial...I think I will check out alt.sex.strip-clubs next...
