Weasel words, Marcus. Weasel words. The tenor of your original post
stuck out like a sore thumb from the general level of discussion here
on a.r.s. If I had been in Diane's shoes, I would have felt extremely
uncomfortable as a result of what you wrote. It did not come across
as "satire", because satire attempts to make a point: all your
posting appeared to do was to make a threat.
Now you presumably expect us to tacitly accept your "apology" and
carry on as if nothing has happened? Why should we? Why should we
believe that you ARE sorry? You belong to a cult with a proven track
record of harassment and violence against its perceived opponents,
and your threats were only out of character with standard Scieno
policy to the extent that they failed to include the usual cult
legalistic arse-covering. Not only that, but this is not the first
time that postings of yours have exercised this sort of tone, either:
so, not only does the cult you belong to have a track record of this
sort of abuse, but so do you. Even if your "apology" contained a
shred of genuine remorse, it could not hope to counter these factors.
It would be a shame if you were to get your Compu$erve account
yanked, because people like you are the best advertisement against
Scientology that anyone could wish for, but (and this is something I
say or think very rarely) I really hope that you DO get your account
pulled, and I'd like to think that you would find it very difficult
indeed to get net.access again from anywhere. Free speech is an
important ideal, but when one individual's freedom of speech starts
to infringe on other individuals' right to go about their business
free of harassment and fear, that one individual's rights and
freedoms must take second place.

I might just begin to believe you when you can make your apology
without putting in all the little barbs - "Anti-Cult Cultists...
lives, such as they are".
I don't know what Diane plans to do about this, but let me tell you
this, Marcus: if I had been on the receiving end of your vicious
diatribe, I would not be content with simply seeing your account
pulled. I would be preparing to get your arse into court and
prosecute and/or sue you till the pips squeaked. You are lower than
whaleshit, and you deserve everything that you get as a result of
your disgusting behaviour.
And your "apology" changes nothing. Nothing.

If you were even capable of demonstrating good faith, and if you were
to show that you had a) changed your ways, and b) disassociated
yourself from an organisation which reneges on court judgements, uses
the law and wanted felon ex-cops to harass people, lies, cheats,
libels, slanders, defames and even attempts to murder people, then
you might just have the ghost of a chance that some of the more
liberal and forgiving of us might consider beginning some form of
rapprochement. Without that, there's no chance, chum. No chance
whatsoever. Until then, you can rot in your filthy cult, for all I
care.
