I think you are misinterpreting EFF's actions. I think that they stated that the reason they were transferring the fund directly to MoFo is because they were getting TOO much money to handle, and that they weren't able to handle the international transfers etc.

From my reading of the various posts. It's quite clear that Vera has attempted to reinterpret what happened in order to make herself look correct. She has never been correct. The fund is exactly as it was before except that instead of overwhelming the EFF...now contributors can overwhelm MoFo's secretarial staff.
