To quote from Tennant's Oct. 31, 1974 Report to the
California Department of Health:
"Narconon also advertises detoxification with megavitimins
and other non-medical procedures that may be hazardous and,
in some cases, lethal.
[...]
"Perhaps of more importance is the misleading claim that
Narconon has a 68% success rate. Based on our observations,
interviews with the Narconon staff, and patients, knowledge
of scientific literature and our own experience; this claim
borders on perposterous."
Tennant, I understand, did much of the drug testing for the NFL
(and other major league sports), was involved in some sort of
scandal and now is out of that league.
I know from first-hand experience that the purif is dangerous
to one's health.
