Re: Xenu triviaBy raoul@athena.mit.edu (Nico Garcia)9 May 1995 12:13:35 GMT Deana has named her cat "Xenu", after the God of killing Galactic citizens that the Scientologists don't tell you about until after paying $150,000. And I never thought I'd cross-post between alt.religion.scientology, and rec.pets.cats, but here it is. Xenu also just had kittens, which she has suggested naming the "Marcabs" after a Galactic Confederacy of 75,000,000 years the Scientologists *also* charge $150,000 to tell you about. In article <3omkpl$ae0@xmission.xmission.com> mirele@xmission.xmission.com (Deana Holmes) writes: Xenu has managed to teach all the cats in the fourplex a nifty trick: how to drink out of toilets. I discovered that Xenu knew this trick when I nearly sat on her one night in the bathroom. Since then, I have observed her drinking out of the toilet. My other cat, Serendipity, who never drank out of toilets, has suddenly taken up the practice. Tammy, my downstairs neighbor, and another feeder of Xenu, says she's done the same for her cats. _Such_ a bad influence. Clearly like Xenu. My cats drink from the sink. I also understand cats can be taught to use the toilet as a litter box, although I've never seen this myself. Unfortunately, one of my cats is rather frail, and would have trouble managing the perch. Also, I don't know if I mentioned this, but Xenu has a stumpy tail. It's about 4 inches long. We all thought it was because she'd had a close encounter with an auto engine when she was young (indeed, one of the neighbors wanted to name her "Fanbelt", but I prevailed). However, _two_ of the five kittens also have these teeny-weeny stumpy little tailettes. So much for the theory of early trauma in Xenu's current incarnation. I guess she won't need auditing to clear those BTs. By the way, the kittens are doing great. Clearly, those are the toasted Body Thetans of some of the galactic citizens half-melted in the thermo-nuke blasts in Hawaii (another Scientology "secret"). That would explain all the Manx breeds of cats, who don't have tails.... I wish I could have another cat, but two are plenty for me (or am I barely enough for two?) Nico Garcia raoul@mit.edu My opinions are my own, not MIT's or my employer's or my cat's (Well, maybe my cat's....)
